About Us
Kernow Robotics was founded by Ben Green, a Robotics Engineer with hands-on experience across the full stack of a robotic system. Ben has spent years solving engineering problems that sit awkwardly between disciplines: the kind that don't fit neatly into a software team or a mechanical team, but need someone who can speak both languages fluently.
Alongside our client work, Ben lectures in Robotics — which means we're constantly thinking about how to explain complex systems clearly and build them reliably. We bring that same mindset to every project: no unnecessary complexity, no jargon for jargon's sake.
We work well with early-stage startups who need to move fast, research teams who need a skilled technical pair of hands, and anyone tackling a problem that doesn't fit into a neat box.
The Guppy Robot

In 2023, Kernow Robotics set out to design and fabricate a small, self-contained, tabletop robot for enthusiasts and computer science education. The Guppy robots have integrated power management, motor drivers, 2.4 GHz wireless, and utilises lithium batteries salvaged from disposable vapes.Programmed using the Arduino IDE, these robots have been used by Falmouth University for teaching for several years to onboard students to mechatronic concepts in a way that engages and inspires. All aspects of this project are open source, and resources can be found below
